Parent Infant Programs was established in 1977 by Dr. John Chesnut and Sharon Chesnut.
For over 30 years John and Sharon Chesnut provided evaluation and support services to thousands of children and their families in Far Northern California. Retired from seeing families now, the Chesnut’s continue to remain involved in various aspects of the program and their unique philosophy and approach to families continue to inform the organization.
John and Sharon's son, Dr. Matt Chesnut, joined PIP in 2004 and has been the CEO and Executive Director of Parent Infant Programs since 2010.
